  25. This section of the catalogue contains Graphics files. This includes
  26. compilation discs of 'foreign' format pictures, collections of high
  27. quality Spritefiles, and the new Fantasy and Sci-Fi sections. In fact,
  28. it contains all 'artwork' and pictorial material that doesn't fit in
  29. with the DTP section and that can't be classed as a 'demo'
  30.  
  31. As well as these discs there are, of course, 1000's of other pictures
  32. sold individually in the GIF Catalogue. These are mainly in GIF format
  33. (hence the name) but there are a few JPEG's and others as well.

  39.                  -=-=-  GRAPHICS IMAGES  -=-=-

  41. These discs contain images an many different formats. Normally all the
  42. images on a single disc are in the same format except where indicated.
  43. Images may be in GIF, IFF, Archimedes Sprite or others. Foreign formats
  44. can easily be viewed and/or converted to Archimedes Sprites using
  45. ChangeFSI (on your Applications disc or on the hard disc with the RiscPC),
  46. Translator (B012) or FYEO (B182). Images may be compressed using ArcFS and
  47. quite often a copy of ArcFS is NOT included on the disc to save space so
  48. you will need a recent version such as the one on the Catalogue disc.

  50. (In case you were wondering, the 'H' prefix doesn't have any significant
  51. meaning - it's just that the obvious 'G' and 'P' are already used and 'H'
  52. is the next vacant letter of the alphabet!)

  115.       a tungsten filament (150x) and one of the end of a hypodermic needle.

  177. This section is mainly 256 colour files devoted to the Sword and Scorcery
  178. genre. It contains the artwork of this genre >>>> muscular men, scantily
  179. clad but capable women and ferocious monsters. They are all sprite files
  180. that load straight into applications or backdrops and are normally large,
  181. but all will load on a 1Mb machine. A copy of the PD ArcFs is required as
  182. most archives do not leave sufficient room on a disc to supply it.

  184. The first 12 discs contain the work of the acknowledged master of the art
  185. of depicting people in alternative worlds -> Boris Vallejo. Some of the
  186. files are in the GIF section of  the catalogue the rest are new to the
  187. library. Artists are acknowledged when known to me otherwise a brief
  188. description is given, some are assumed I am not a fan of Dragon Lance for
  189. example and know little about it.
